Inaugural performance of HomeLA, curated by Rebecca Bruno
and
HomeLA 10 years
In this (now) ongoing series, Dancers are invited to inhabit a domestic space and make work within and as response to it. I activated the space of an un-finished swimming pool by illuminating it in anticipation of its finished state and dancing its perimeters.
For HomeLA’s 10-year anniversary, I reimagined this performance. With the help of still photos and memory, I revisited my movements around the pool. Ten years later, the lights were on, and it was full of water.
