The Stand In (or a glass of milk)

Flora Wiegmann, joined by Alexa Weir, embarked on a three-part performance which spanned the run of a show, rearranged in 3 different installations configurations. Curated by Alexandra Gaty and Lauren Mackler, three stages were set; the first performance occurred on Sunday, September 15th at 7:30 pm. The second act, in October after Wiegmann and Weir rearranged, investigated, diminished, and expanded the material. The final act followed suit in November after additional mutations. Through the viewing of all three parts, the process of making, viewing and associating is revealed while the performers investigate the question of when a dance is ready to be performed and how it inhabits space. 2013
