I have, in the past, described my work as being “place-specific”; responding to and considering the context of each particular live performance. For example, I may research the architecture and objects within the space I am inhabiting, or historical actions that have occurred within it. Each project varies in aesthetics, duration, and style, but the driving force throughout my entire body of work is this: formal movement design is the result of a thorough investigation of an idea, and from that idea emerges a structure for the generation of choreography. Past works have ranged from 5 minutes to 26 hours in length.
